"The Boy, The Farmer" is a true story that plays out in the author Jeff Bischoff's childhood in Old Saybrook, CT in 1972. The story chronicles a young newspaper boy who dreams of one day becoming a farmer. Jeff wrote it for children ages 3-9, but he wanted to make it appealing to the parents and grandparents who would be doing the reading.
Eric Sloane, the American landscape painter and author, played a prominent role in Jeff's passion for all things Americana.
The book is filled with farming facts and American history that will enable the adult reader to learn while teaching. Jeff hopes to inspire both children and adults in the way that Sloane inspired him.
